A missing man has been found drowned at Kuala Tenglu water

MERSING: On Tuesday afternoon (4 June), a man who had gone missing while searching for shellfish in the vicinity of Pantai Tenglu Laut was found drowned.

Supt. Abdul Razak Abdullah said that the body of Hafiz Nursalam Ahmed, 21, was found five kilometers from the last place he was seen.

The victim was found at 6.30pm by people involved in the search. The victim has been positively identified by family members.

In a Tuesday night statement, he stated that “the body was taken to Mersing Hospital.”

Hafiz Nursalam was a resident of the area who often went searching for shellfish but did not return to his home when he left at 10am on Monday (3rd June).
