Air Selangor reports that the water supply recovery rate in affected areas is over 12%.

Pengurusan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd, (Air Selangor) reports that the level of restoration in the affected areas of the recent water cut has reached 12.7%.

This figure was 6am Thursday (6 June).

Air Selangor said that the percentage of water recovery in affected areas should reach around 20% by 3:00pm on Thursday, and 90% by June 7th.

The report also stated that the full recovery of all affected areas should be expected by Friday at 12pm.

The SSP1 WTP asset maintenance and replacement work will affect Petaling (Klang), Shah Alam, Gombak and Kuala Lumpur. It may also affect Hulu Selangor, Kuala Selangor, and Kuala Selangor.

Air Selangor said that the duration of water supply disruptions and recovery will depend on the location of consumers’ premises and water pressure at distribution systems.

We would like to remind consumers that they should let their taps run until the water is clear.

Air Selangor is hoping that those who have received water will be prudent in their use of water to ensure the recovery process runs smoothly in the affected area,” the company added.
