Five people escape fire in two-storey Shah Alam home

Five people were saved after a fire broke out in a two-storey building.

The incident took place at Seksyen 9, near 12.33 am on June 6, according to Ahmad Mukhlis Mukhtar, assistant director of the Selangor Fire and Rescue Department.

“Firemen dispatched from the Shah Alam Fire Station were dispatched on the scene. The fire was mainly in the second-floor living room. He said that the house was approximately 30% burned.

He said that five victims were saved from the fire – an Indonesian woman aged 40, a 40-year-old man, and two 4-year-old children.

Ahmad Mukhlis said, “The victims have been sent to Shah Alam Hospital in order to be treated.”
