Four people remanded for six days in an entrepreneur’s case of housebreaking

BUTTERWORTH – Four people, including two females, were remanded in custody for six days, until June 11, to help with the investigation into a housebreaking incident that occurred on April 25, involving an entrepreneur.

North Seberang Perai acting OCPD Supt Zulkeflee Sulaiman stated that all suspects aged between 20-27 were arrested between 9am to 10am, on Jalan Duta in Kuala Lumpur, on Thursday, June 6.

The police also seized jewellery valued at RM40,000 that belonged to the entrepreneur.

Supt Zulkeflee was quoted by Sinar Harian as saying, “When we arrested them, we were only able to seize stolen jewelry worth RM40,000 that we believe had been partly sold off” on Thursday (6 June).

“However the investigation into the four suspected is still underway and they will remain in custody for six days as a means of assisting the investigation.

“Today, we have not been able to determine the relationship between the four suspects.

Supt Zulkeflee has not ruled out the possibility of further arrests in order to assist with the investigation.

The investigation is under Section 457 (housebreaking) of the Penal Code.

The entrepreneur reported a loss of RM800,000.00 when her home in Kepala Batas, Kedah was broken into in April last year.

The owner of Kleda Crepe, Siti Nurkhalieda Yusra, revealed this on social media last Sunday (2nd June), 40 days after the incident.
