MACC remands civil servant for seven days over alleged RM10,000 bribe

SEREMBAN – Malaysian Anti-Corruption has secured a seven-day remand of a civil servant who allegedly accepted and solicited a RM10,000 bribe in relation to a land application.

The MACC had requested that the suspect be held for seven days, until June 17. Magistrate Syed Mohd Farid Syed Ali granted the request.

The suspect, who is in his late 30s, was arrested when he arrived at the MACC state office on Monday evening (June 10).

The investigation is being conducted under Section 17(a), of the MACC Act 2009
