Melaka man slashes and beats older brother over motorcycle

ALOR GAJAH : A 33-year old man suffered serious injuries after his younger brother cut him in a dispute about a motorcycle.

Alor Gajah OCPD Supt Ashari Abu Samah confirmed that the incident took place on Wednesday night (June 5) in the fishing village Kuala Linggi.

The argument began when the suspect said that the elder brother had refused to allow him to use his motorcycle.

He said that the younger brother (27 years old) was angry and began hitting the victim on the head with a stick.

Supt Ashari stated that the victim had sought assistance from Rela and police members because his brother was acting aggressively.

He added that policemen accompanied the victim home.

He said that the attacker continued to attack the victim, but this time using a machete. This caused serious injuries to his left wrist.

Supt Ashari stated that his men arrested the suspect immediately and confiscated the gun.

The victim, he said, was taken to Hospital Alor Gajah and then referred to Hospital Melaka due to his severe injuries.

Supt Ashari also added that the suspect tested positive for drug use.
