Parents of Zayn Raymond claim that the real killer is somewhere out there

PETALING JAYA – The parents of Zayn Raeyyan Abdul Matiin say that they are persecuted, and that the killer of their son is still on the loose.

Ilyani Khuszairy is the lawyer representing the parents of the autistic child who died. She said this in a remand application filed before Magistrate Ainaa Muhamad Kamal, at the Magistrate’s Court on Friday, Mat 7.

Both of them (Zayn’s parents) seem to be under a lot of stress. It’s obvious on their faces. When questioned, they cry and insist that the killer is somewhere else.

She was quoted as saying: “They are under pressure, and they hope this case can resolve properly. They also hope the investigation will be fair and transparent so that justice is served for their child who died.”

Throughout the court proceedings, Zayn’s father was heard repeatedly proclaiming his son’s innocence.

“I’m being persecuted! These are all lies!” reported.

When the couple appeared in court, several other people, who were believed to be relatives, began shouting.

At 9.30am, the couple, whose 7-day remand ends on Friday, was brought in court dressed as if they were locked up.

Zayn Rayyan, a 24-year-old man, was found dead at 10pm on December 20, 2023, in a creek in the Damansara Damai area of Petaling Jaya.

According to police, an autopsy showed that the injuries to the child’s neck and body were caused by criminal acts.
