SG Bakap Polls: Unity Govt Candidate Must Meet Local Community’s Aspirations, Says Fahmi

Fahmi Fadzil, the Unity Government’s spokesperson in Kuala Lumpur, said that the Unity Government would ensure its candidate for the upcoming Sungai Bakap by-election is aligned with the needs and expectations of the local communities.

The Pakatan Harapan Communications director stated that PKR will review all criteria thoroughly before finalizing the candidate’s names.

“God willing we will have meetings at the central level to decide several issues, and I think the Unity candidate that is to be put forward can win the Sungai Bakap Seat back. God willing,” said he to reporters on Thursday (6 June) after a visit to the National Information Dissemination Centre in Sungai Bakap.

Fahmi said that the preparations of the party for the by-election were going well, with meetings already being held at the state, branch and division levels.

On Monday, the Penang Unity Government Leadership Council unanimously decided that PKR will field a candidate in the Sungai Bakap By-Election to represent the coalition.
