The water supply in seven Klang Valley areas will be restored in phases starting tomorrow at 3am.

KUALA LUMPUR – Asset maintenance and replacement works at the Sungai Selangor Phase 1 WTP (SSP1WTP) should be completed by 7pm on June 5 and water users in seven areas affected in the Klang Valley are able to expect their areas’ water supply to be restored gradually starting at 3am, on Thursday (6th).

In a Facebook post, Pengurusan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd said that water supply would be restored to the affected areas by around 20 percent at 3pm tomorrow. By 3am on the next day it could reach 90 percent.

The water supply will be fully restored to affected areas by noon on Friday, June 7.

The post stated: “Please be advised that the duration of the water supply disruption in the area mentioned and the subsequent recovery will depend on the location, water pressure and distribution system.”

According to the schedule, the state water company has added that asset maintenance and replacement works at the plant started today at 9am.

Air Selangor issued a statement in which it announced that scheduled water disruptions would occur from 5 to 7 June due to asset maintenance and replacement works at the SSP1 Water Treatment Plant.
