Two people killed and one injured in Johor baru accident

In an accident that occurred in the early hours of the morning, two people were killed and one injured.

The accident occurred at 4am on Saturday, June 15, in Pantai Lido. A motorcycle and a vehicle were involved.

The accident was believed to have happened when the motorcyclist lost his control as he headed towards Johor baru town from Skudai.

The motorcycle skidded, and then hit the car from behind. “The collision caused the car spin before hitting the road divider while the motorcycle caught on fire,” he stated in a press release.

He stated that the motorcyclist as well as a passenger of the car died at the scene, after both suffered serious injuries.

He said that the driver was being treated for serious head injuries at the Sultanah Aminah Hospital.

A 23-year old man died in Iskandar puteri after losing control of his car and hitting a tree on the way home from work.

M. Kumarasan, Asst Comm M. Puteri OCPD, said that the incident occurred at 2.50am Saturday morning (June 15), around the Medini 5 region.

The accident happened as the man, his three co-workers and their driver were returning home.

The deceased driver, believed to be speeding, lost control while driving around a corner.

He said that the car skidded to the side before it hit a tree.

The driver died on the spot after suffering serious injuries in the accident.

He said that his three friends aged between 18 and 29 were also injured. They are receiving treatment at HSA.

The Road Transport Act, Section 41(1), is being used to investigate both cases.
