Unemployed man accuses brother of machete injury

ALOR GAJAH – A man who is unemployed has pleaded guilty to the charges of injuring his brother with a weapon.

Muhammad Tuah Md Dali (27), is accused of intentionally inflicting grievous injury on his brother Muhammad Redza (34), using a machete at a home in Kampung Nelayan Kuala Linggi Kuala Sungai Baru at 8:40pm, June 5.

The accused was charged with Section 326 and Section 326A of the Penal Code. A conviction can result in a maximum sentence of 20 years imprisonment, as well as a fine or whipping.

According to Section 326A, he could be sentenced to imprisonment for up twice as long as the maximum term that can be imposed if convicted under Section 326,

The accused was not represented by an attorney.

Judge Nariman set bail at RM15,000, with the condition that the accused not interfere with victim or witnesses during trial. The remention date was set for July 22, 2012.
