Will your device support Apple Intelligence?

Apple’s artificial intelligence will not be available to everyone in the upcoming versions iOS, iPadOS, and macOS. You’ll also need to have very new hardware.

Apple created quite a stir during its last annual developer conference, WWDC 2024, by revealing the AI-related capabilities that will power the next versions its operating systems: iOS 18, iPadOS 18 & macOS Sequoia. Not everyone will be eligible to use them. You’ll actually need an iPhone, iPad, or Mac that is very recent.

Apple Intelligence is available as a free beta version for iOS 18, iPadOS 18 or macOS Sequoia this fall in English. It will then be gradually rolled out globally. Some features and languages won’t be available until 2025.

You’ll need an iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max or the latest iPhone generation to take advantage of these features. You’ll need an iPad or Mac with a chip that is M1 or higher.

Apple Intelligence is a powerful AI model that will be integrated into Apple devices. It will allow users to do common tasks faster and easier, such as writing emails and texts, editing photos, and trancribing telephone conversations. AFP Relaxnews
