Zayn Raymond murder: Police extend the remand of parents

PETALING JAYA – The police have announced that the remand orders for parents of six-year old Zayn Abdul Matiin, who was murdered in a car accident last year, will be extended.

When contacted, Selangor Police Chief Comm Datuk Hussein Omar Khan confirms the incident.

He said, “Yes, tomorrow the remand order will be extended.”

Both parents were arrested on May 31, Puncak alam.

In addition to the boy’s parents and his former babysitter, the police have also contacted three other individuals.

Zayn Rayyan, who was reported missing on Dec 5 in Damansara Damai was found dead near a stream 200m away from his apartment at Idaman Apartment.

The post-mortem showed injuries on his neck and body. This led to the conclusion he was killed.

During the investigation police forensic teams searched the area where the body had been found, as well as surrounding areas of Damansara Damai.

Also, 228 DNA samples were collected for a mass screening.

Investigators also brought in witnesses, including those who claimed that they had last seen the boy.
